Jenny’s twin-sister Becky Lavelle was recently featured on the Uptown Liz website
RR: Because Jenny had such a severe case of postpartum depression, do you worry about having a baby?
BL: I do a little, but I am obviously much more aware of what can happen and will have a very heightened sense of awareness, as will my family and friends.
Visit Uptown Liz for the complete interview and for more information on this great company “where shopping gives back”. Thank you Ramona!

Cities 97 Vol. 20 grant recipient

Jenny’s Light was one of 46 Minnesota charities to receive a grant from The Cities 97 Vol. 20 proceeds. Thank you to our legal director Nicole Kustermann for submitting our application and a big thank you to everyone at Cities 97. From The Cities 97 website:
In 2008 we received nearly 500 applications for Sampler Volume 20 proceeds. All very worthy charities and organizations doing incredible and admirable work in our community. Our Sampler Charity Committee reviewed each application and began the difficult process of narrowing down the list. Cities 97 listeners gave us guidance in the December Newsletter by telling us what causes and need areas they felt were important and where Sampler dollars would make the most impact in our community. Now, we are proud to release the list of non-profit programs, organzations, and charities receiving a portion of the $1,000,000 generated by your purchase of the 20th Anniversary Sampler.
