steps to get help

Steps to take if you have symptoms of depression or anxiety during or after pregnancy:

  1. If you are having thoughts of harming yourself or your baby, it is very important to get support immediately. Call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.
    • Though it can be scary to ask for help, they can help keep you and your baby safe and help you take the first steps towards getting better.
  2. Tell someone you trust how you are feeling. It is important that you feel safe with the person and that they support you in a non-judgmental way. Ask them to help you find support. Examples of someone you can tell:
    • Your partner
    • A family member
    • A friend
    • A healthcare professional
    • A religious leader

Jenny’s Light is please to announce our 2012 Charity Golf Event to be held on Wednesday, July 18th at the Beautiful Deer Run Golf Club in Victoria , MN.  We are in need of sponsors, participants and volunteers so please check out the event website and save the date!  Don’t forget to let your friends and family know as well!

The 4th Annual Jenny’s Light 5/10K & Kids Fun Run was another big success this year. It was a beautiful sunny day and we had close to 500 people participate. We also raised over $12,000 for Jenny’s Light! A big thank you to everyone who sponsored, volunteered and supported the event, it wouldn’t have been the same without you.
